Expressions of Math

It is our belief at Expressions of Math that mathematics is an expression of the world around us. For us, we express math and see math through visual ‘snapshots’. This website was created out of a passion to make math relatable by showcasing our expressions of math through these ‘snapshot’ images that can be referred to time and time again. Having experience in public school math classrooms, higher education math classrooms and as students the saying ‘a picture speaks a thousand words’ always rang true. It is our goal to create high quality ‘snapshot’ images that use consistent colors and graphics to explain and express the most basic math fundamentals. It is our hope that teachers and students can access our ‘snapshot’ images through our fundamentals page and use any fundamental as a supplemental resource for all math curriculums. You will notice that every fundamental includes PDFs to allow teachers and learners to print hard copies to use as needed. We hope you enjoy exploring our expressions of math.
